#Overview

For my university Introduction to Programming module I built a points calculator for the tabletop game Warhammer 40k. The program reads each unit's data from a CSV file, lets the user build an army up to a points limit, and writes a full breakdown to a report file.

#Built in four sprints

  1. CSV reading: a reusable method that locates the chosen army file and searches it line by line.
  2. Unit selection & storage: user input is matched against the CSV, and selections are stored in an ArrayList.
  3. Report generation: FileWriter produces a dynamic, human-readable army report.
  4. Testing: unit tests for every major data-processing method with JUnit, built with Maven.

I also used inheritance for user data (userData → fullUserData) to meet the brief.
